FEATURE FRIDAY - #SIMPLE STAMPING

#SimpleStamping with Hydrangea Haven

Hydrangeas are certainly one of the most beautiful flowers on Earth. Like delicate globes filled with tightly packed blooms and quizzical names like mophead and lacecap, these flowers have the ability to change color over a period of days. To see one is to be transported back to a simpler, more romantic era when the pace of life was slow and there was time to take meditative walks in a well-cultivated garden.

Our homage to this nostalgic, floral favorite includes the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set with coordinating Hydrangea Dies (buy them in a bundle for savings!), Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper, Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate, Gorgeous Grape 3/8" (1 cm) Sheer Ribbon, and finally—luminous, adhesive-backed Pastel Pearls to add a touch of elegance to any project. Coordinating colors reflect traditional hydrangea colors and include Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Rococo Rose.

To create this month’s #SimpleStamping projects, we used Designer Series Paper to create fun backgrounds, as with the Le Monde and Du Bist Meine Heldin cards. Layering the paper in strips creates an especially eye-catching effect. The Voor een bijzonder iemand card demonstrates how to make an image stand out when you use White Craft ink against richly hued cardstock.

The Hydrangea Haven Bundle is a must-have for anyone who loves vintage chic or dramatic floral focal points, and the stamp set contains lovely sentiments to match the look.

"TEACH-IT" TUESDAY - VERY VERSAILLES

Today's class I used a stamp set called Very Versailles, a beautiful, distinctive set that is just beautiful. This set can be found on page 114 in our Annual Catalog and I'm happy to share that it will be carrying over to our new Annual Catalog. This set can be used standalone or with many other stamps sets given the versatility of the stamps as they work with many other stamps. I hope you enjoy!

FEATURE FRIDAY - SIMPLY SUCCULENTS BUNDLE

Succulents are sprouting up everywhere, and it’s a great time to add them to your crafting with the Simply Succulents Bundle. There’s so much to love in this bundle—sentiments that can be used all year, beautiful image and die coordination, and even a large die you can use to create masks, multiple smaller accents, or card fronts. There’s something for everyone, from casual stampers to experienced crafters.

The beautiful watercoloring on the “you’ve been on my mind” card was created by first stamping the image with VersaMark ink and heat embossing with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Shimmery White cardstock. Then watercolor inside the embossing. TIP: Let one color completely dry before adding another color. The background die was used as a background for a tone on tone look.

To create the second card, die cut the background die to use as a mask and spread embossing paste over it to create a unique background. Die cut the detailed succulents from Old Olive and Soft Sea Foam. Add highlights using watercolor pencils to give them more detail.

The super cute package uses the Printed Gusseted Treat Bags with strips of In Good Taste DSP inside. Die cut the succulents and pot and color with Stampin’ Blends. Tie off the bag with White Baker’s Twine. Who wouldn’t want to get this treat?
