MYSTERY STAMPING NIGHT - ALWAYS THE LAST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH!

 

New to my group?  I do "Mystery Stamping" the last Tuesday of every month.  I post clue#1 - gather your supplies and you use your own stamps/ink/paper to create your card as I give you one clue at a time.  Everyone has the same card recipe but most often, all cards look different using your own supplies.  So much fun!  Below is clue #1 - gather your supplies and be ready to create Tuesday, 7pm EST.  Just click HERE for the link to my Facebook Business Page and I hope you will play along!

CLUE #1 – GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES

1.   Colored Cardstock base 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”

2.   Another (same color) cardstock 6 ½ x 4 ¼ scored in half 3 1/4

3.   Basic White Cardstock 3x4 (inside small base)

4.   Basic white Cardstock 4 x 5 ¼ (inside large base)

5.   Basic white 2 ½ x 3 ½ layer (scallop die/rectangle or
      basic white layer)  

6.   Basic white scrap for sentiment                                                                     

7.   DSP (matching cardstock base) 4 x 5 ¼

8.   DSP 3X4 (hint: less busy design than other)

9.   DSP strip 1/2” x 3”

10. Desired stamp (must fit on 2 ½ x 3 ½ white layer)

11. Sentiment Stamp (hint: must also fit on white layer)

12. Memento Ink Pad

13. Embellishments & 3” ribbon scrap

14. Adhesives – including Liquid glue, Dimensionals

 

FEATURE FRIDAY - STAMPING FOR BEGINNERS

 

 

Stamping for Beginners

Are you new to stamping?  Are you aware of the many unconventional (but simple) ways to use even the most basic products you buy?

Did you know you can use our clear blocks as stamps? It’s a fun way to add some simple color to each project and great way to get beginner stampers hooked. We used differently sized blocks, but the same four ink colors on all three cards: Pale Papaya, Pear Pizzazz, Polished Pink, and Night of Navy.

For the Happy Birthday card, our artist dabbed Clear Block C on a Pale Papaya ink pad and used it as a stamp to create a textured background on the card. You can also use clear blocks to create a pattern, like on the Hallo card, stamped multiple times with Clear Block G. Or copy the Merci Mon Amie card’s large background, made using Clear Block H. Just give your customers five minutes and they will fall in love with the technique.

"TEACH-IT" TUESDAY - BEAUTY OF FRIENDSHIP

 

 

Today I demonstrated new products from our Annual Catalog, the Beauty of Friendship Bundle. You can find these products on pages 10 & 11 of the Annual Catalog. I love how the stamps work as it stamps showing 2 color tones like you stamp off and re-stamp. I love that effect! The DSP in this Suite of products is gorgeous too! CARD RECIPES:

EVENING EVERGREEN:

Base                 1/2 x 5 1/2 score 4 1/4 and cut 1" off White               4 x 5 1/4 for inside DSP                 1/2 x 5 1/4 & 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 (Pansy Petals)

Crumb Cake      Scrap to cut tree and 3/14 x 1 for sentiment

Tie double bow with Crumb Cake Twine, stamp in Evening Evergreen ink

THICK WHITE:

Base                 8 1/2 x 5 1/4 score 4 1/4 Fresh Freesia   4 x 5 1/4 White                3 3/4 x 5 & scrap to stamp tree tops

SOFT SUCCULENT:

Base                4 1/4 x 11 scored 5 1/2 & 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 DSP                 2 X 4 1/4 White                3 x 4 & scrap for sentiment Stamp tree with Crumb Cake & Soft Succulent & sentiment in Soft Succulent

STAMPIN' UP - HAND PENNED BUNDLE

 

Today I shared ideas and inspiration using Hand-Penned Petals Bundle. You can find this bundle on pages 104-105 of the NEW Annual Catalog. This is a beautiful 2-step stamping set that displays an artistic, watercolor effect which I love. Lots of options using either stamp set, dies or both with this bundle. I love this set and you will be seeing more inspiration and videos with this suite of products.
