Simple Stamping Tips |
Stamping is a satisfying creative experience for many reasons,
and one of them is the flexibility it offers. Make your projects as simple or
complex as you like, with as few or as many color combinations as you want.
Whatever you do, the results are almost sure to be amazing! |
One fun technique is to “lengthen” the image, as we on the adorable tag. First, we stamped the candle image on a piece of
Basic White Cardstock, then cut the cardstock in half. We then adhered the
two pieces to the tag front and hid the gap with the sentiment. Kind of
tricky and kind of fun! |
To add a colorful touch to our Perfection card front and gift box belly band, we used a variation of tone-on-tone
stamping using an ink that is slightly darker than the cardstock. You could
also use the coordinating ink color or VersaMark ink to achieve a lighter
tone-on-tone look. |
Tip: While you’re at it, create extra tone-on-tone stamped
cardstock for use on future projects. Before long you’ll have a nice collection
of Designer Series Paper—handstamped by you! |
Have fun simple stamping! And remember to share your work on
social media using the hashtag #SimpleStamping. We love to see your work. |
